The Senior Manager, Investor Relations works with the Vice President Investor Relations (“IR”) to create and manage investor materials, including drafting written and/or or visual content for investor presentations, press releases, scripts, web pages, meeting booklets and other key communications.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Support the quarterly earnings process including: earnings release, scripts, Q&A development, financial back-up, post-event reporting, logistics and other ad hoc analytical requests; reach out to leaders and subject-matter experts within CDW to ensure business performance drivers are clearly understood and well communicated
  • Manage IR conferences and roadshows, including scheduling, team participation, materials and investor outreach; coordinate admin assistant support for travel and meeting logistics
  • Support analyst interactions, including coordinating scheduling of mid-quarter calls and other regular outreach, monitoring analyst notes, updating consensus numbers, and preparing background materials to aid communication on key issues and new announcements
  • Maintain database of investor relations contacts using CRM function of Thomson One; coordinate ongoing updates to record IR team meetings; report summaries as needed to support Board of Director presentations, roadshow preparation, and other IR activities; actively manage list of key target funds/shareholders and collaborate with IR VP/Director to periodically prioritize and evaluate targets
  • Respond to IR inbox messages and inbound voicemail requests; collaborate with IR VP/Director to triage call and meeting requests to effectively manage senior management time while still providing timely responses on behalf
  • Partner with IR and Corporate Communications team to coordinate news flow schedule; maintain IR calendar events for use by IR team and executive management
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry best practices and vendor / technology options for communications programs; suggest improvements and lead implementation of chosen solutions
  • Prepare competitive analysis for both IR (to benchmark CDW performance and ensure our messaging is consistent with industry results) and FP&A (to support market share calculations for incentive compensation and CEO board decks)
  • Review ~10 sell side analyst CDW models for accuracy and reasonableness of assumptions to ensure consensus estimates make sense
Other Responsibilities
  • Provide additional Investor Relations support as required


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
  • 5 years’ experience in investor relations or investment community strongly preferred

  • Strong understanding of technology and the IT industry. Must demonstrate the desire and capacity to learn about our industry, products, competitors and other key audiences; application of acquired knowledge to daily activities is critical to success in position
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with ability to interpret information for the investment community and management
  • Strong analytical skills and a firm understanding of financial concepts with the ability to apply them in business analysis situations
  • Demonstrated experience building financial models
  • Demonstrated ability to relay financial data to a non-financial audience
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with critical attention to detail
  • History of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders including executive leadership; ensure communication maintains accuracy of scientific and business details even when prose is simplified for brevity or use with lay audiences; comfortable receiving editorial direction and also providing direction to others (External reporting and Corporate Communications)
  • Ability to establish relationships with analysts and investors
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or MBA
  • Previous hands-on experience in investor relations activities is desired; expected skills include drafting press releases, financial modeling, and PowerPoint slides, managing communications projects and supporting company presentations and investor outreach at conferences and other events
