The Senior Resource Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Business Unit and/or Practice with the identification, coordination, scheduling/assigning, tracking and utilization balancing of project resources in collaboration with project and resource management. This role provides support to practice operations and leadership for resource forecasting/trending, overall team capacity, project administration & reporting and administrative duties. In addition, the Senior Resource Coordinator facilitates the preparedness and engagement of partners and stakeholders as necessary. 


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide staffing assistance to the Operations Supervisors for complex, partner and international staffing needs
  • Review and advise the business on resource capacity issues and implement solutions to minimize constraints
  • Facilitate the selection, screening, and engagement of third-party resources
  • Ensure regional engineering utilization targets are met
  • Create, report and advise business leaders on coworker capacity and utilization trends
  • Oversee all projects within a region are staffed in a timely manner


  • Ensure Business Unit, Practice and Partner resources are assigned in a timely manner based on predefined priorities
  • Ensure that best practices are embraced, communicated, and adhered to
  • Provide staffing escalation support
  • Identify and communicate staffing trends
  • Support Business Unit & Practice vision, goals and strategies
  • Contribute to Practice Operations team meetings and best practices
  • Review Business Unit and Practice project performance to ensure accurate staffing assignments
  • Review Business Unit and Practice projected resource reports to ensure timely staffing assignments
  • Review scheduling for availability gaps
  • Awareness and support of pipeline and project bookings
  • Collaborate with Practice and Resource Management Leadership to ensure training/shadowing opportunities are fulfilled and utilization targets are achieved by our billable resources

Education and/or Skill-Set Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar support role for a professional services organization preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to travel a minimum of 25%
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or certification in a business related (project management) program
