Sirius Federal, LLC is looking for a Cisco Senior Network Technical Consultant, with a current Top-Secret security clearance, to work remote with travel to customers sites. 

The qualified candidate will be a seasoned network engineer with confidence to deliver Cisco traditional routing and switching, understanding of software defined networking (SDA and SD-WAN), and wireless technologies.  A Sirius Federal Senior Technical Consultant will possess a high level of professional consulting acumen and the readiness to collaborate within a team. They must thrive on success, inspire others, and drive towards 100% customer success.  

As a Sirius Federal Senior Network Technical Consultant, you will be a part of the post-sales engineering delivery team. You will combine your technical expertise and ability to work with project stakeholders to successfully implement advanced networking solutions into a variety of customer environments.  


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • A primary focus on technical post-sales delivery to include design, implementation, and knowledge transfer with a variety of customers
  • A responsibility for understanding the technologies and key business drivers to create and deliver solutions based on the needs of the customer
  • The ability to work with customer hand-in-hand on requirements gathering and design in order to successfully deliver Cisco validated, fully supported solutions that follow current best practice
  • The aptitude to support multiple ongoing projects 
  • Provide remote and onsite services as required to fulfill contract requirements
  • Travel onsite to customer locations as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • A current Top-Secret clearance is required, SCI eligibility preferred
  • CCNP (Enterprise Networks or Wireless) Required
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II+ required
  • Four-year BS in Computer Science or related field, preferred or 8 year’s equivalent work experience
  • Being able to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal is key!
  • Motivated by challenges and has a strong sense of commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Detail-oriented and organized with an inquisitive nature that is open to learning from all sources

Other Position Requirements:

  • Travel requirements 40%
  • Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs
  • Physically able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds of equipment
  • Natural Attention to Detail!
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as individually
  • Ability to foster strong relationships at all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven 7+ years’ experience designing and implementing traditional networking to include variants of ASR/IRS Routers, Catalyst and Nexus switch platforms
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience with networking technologies and core Internet protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS-VPN, L2/L3, STP, HSRP, etc.)
  • Deep understanding with Cisco Wireless and Cisco ISE
  • Experience performing wireless Active, Passive and Predictive surveys (Ekahau experience preferred)
  • Minimum 5+ years direct applicable consulting experience
  • Expanding knowledge of software defined (SD-WAN, SDA) preferred
  • Solid understanding enterprise network design including experience with DoD SIPR and NIPR
  • Strong understanding of delivering all technology in a secure manor to include ability to deliver Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

The position exists to provide presales technical consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
