Velocity Interactive Portal (VIP) is a multi-year, multi-million dollar, strategic initiative that spans all of Digital Velocity (DV) and CDW. VIP is sponsored by the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DV. VIP will change the way that DV and CDW goes to market. 

VIP is building an innovative, strategic technology environment that will drive customer engagement in real-time, accelerate the sales cycle, showcase the latest in emerging cloud technology solutions and provide an immersive experience for CDW sales, customers and partners alike. 

VIP is a virtualized ecosystem that will bring together partners, sales leaders, technologists and customers in a collaborative space to view, educate and demo the latest use case or business solutions to accelerate business outcomes.

Summary
The Marketing Operations Coordinator (MOC) is responsible for the coordination of written editorial and technical content, graphics and design, and marketing / sales collateral for the VIP. The MOC will work closely and take direction from the VIP Business & Sales Lead, operating with a high degree of autonomy. The MOC will work closely with the VIP Leadership to develop and execute the content strategy. The MOC will partner with the VIP Leadership Team, VIP Technical team, internal sales, marketing, design and technical writing teams to execute the internal go-to-market strategy for the VIP. 

The initial focus will be to work with the technical writing team, graphic designers and the VIP Leadership team on the coordination, creation and delivery of strategic sales and marketing artifacts to be used internally with sellers. Additional areas of ownership will be to drive content curation for solution pages in the VIP, deep dive business outcomes and make recommendations for new collateral. This process will involve working with technical SMEs, solution architects, engineers and sellers. 

The MOC will have ownership of key deliverables and must operate autonomously, be comfortable working with and driving cross-functional teams, establishing timelines and managing expectations, along with proactively mitigating risks and planning ahead. 

A strong candidate will be proactive and be able to see around corners. You have a can-do attitude and are willing to roll-up your sleeves. You are able to initiate projects with minimal direction, are confident leading and holding others accountable. You know when to ask for help and are of the mindset to proceed with a course of action asking for forgiveness later versus asking for permission. 

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Owns the coordination of all written, design and graphic content curation and development
  • Joint ownership of the GTM planning and execution, along with content VIP content strategy
  • Handle the coordination of all marketing projects and is responsible for the completion of marketing activities and the creative approval process leveraging internal teams
  • Coordinate all stakeholder communications, feedback and approvals in a timely manner
  • Manages project milestones for content curation, ensuring the activity requirements are met and deliverables are on-time
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders/partners at all levels
  • Provides alerts to stakeholders for the initiation of a project or activity milestone during activity execution and throughout annual planning processes
  • Maintains two-way communication with activity execution and business owner teams
  • Proactively works to resolve business challenges while maintaining efficiencies

Other Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and review difficult situations within projects and escalate to management and stakeholders (as needed)
  • Review delegated tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • Effectively build consensus with the project team and stakeholders to move projects forward
  • Bring forth possible options for resolving project challenges

Education and/or Experience qualifications

  • 1-3 years relevant experience required in marketing, advertising or communications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications or related field

Required qualifications

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate information and interact with stakeholders at all levels including senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of meeting deadlines and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business
  • Proactive with a keen ability to plan and organize
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships, take initiative, and creatively problem-solve
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Docs
  • Basic knowledge of Slack
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including SharePoint
  • Ability to multitask and be adaptable in a fast changing environment

Preferred qualifications

  • 3-5 years of project management experience
  • Familiarity with sales process and sales cycle
  • 1-2 years of Technical Marketing or Sales experience
