Senior Ansible DevOps Engineer - Digital Velocityat CDW Careers

The Digital Velocity DevOps Engineers are highly qualified, experienced, personable and knowledgeable across many different languages, processes and toolsets. As a company, we provide both training and hands-on consulting to our customers to help them move forward with contemporary IT strategies.

The DevOps Engineers are responsible for providing highly technical design and implementation consulting to our enterprise technical customers. The position includes at least 25% travel, mainly within the United States.
Digital Velocity Solutions is seeking a full-time DevOps Engineer that is focused on Ansible, providing technical expertise around RedHat Ansible, performing both architecture/design, implementation as well as technical training for our customers.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Architect, Develop & Implement innovative software solutions related to the DevOps and Agile Transformation of the enterprise.
• Technologies will include Git, Hashicorp tool sets, Puppet, Jenkins, Docker EE, Openshift, ELK Stack and many other DevOps related technologies
• Subject matter expert for RedHat Ansible
• Design and implement reference architectures for Ansible deployments
• Help customers leverage the functionality of Ansible for Day2 operations, leveraging both community Ansible as well workflows and templates available within AWX/Tower
• Custom Ansible module development
• Expose Strengths and Weaknesses in existing Ansible installs and suggest or automate paths forward to mitigate those weaknesses
• Collaboration: Work with your peers within your team and outside your team to help develop these solutions. Work with leaders at customer locations to help advise them on how best to achieve their DevOps goals

Education and/or Experience qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of Providing Technical Guidance to other Engineers
• 3+ years of experience in system Administration leveraging Ansible, DevOps, Git, and Python
• Knowledge and skill level in identified competencies meet minimum requirements for role
• Previous direct customer consulting experience or equivalent understanding of role responsibilities

• Demonstrate an expert level of understanding and experience with RedHat Ansible design and implementations
• Hashicorp Tools (Terraform, Consul, Vault, Nomad)
• Docker and Dockerfile development, Docker EE
• OpenShift Experience
• Jenkins and Jenkinsfile development
• Knowledge of Kubernetes
• Experience working with an Agile team
