Infrastructure Specialist - Solutions Build Deskat CDW Careers

This role provides pre-sales support via accurate and detailed infrastructure product recommendations which may include, but is not limited to, x86 server, hyperconverged, converged, and storage infrastructure solutions. The applicant should work in a professional manner to complete responsibilities on time and comprehensively, resulting in high customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs pre-sales activities in conjunction with Sales Teams by educating clients about CDW products
• Prepares product deliverable templates and client timetables
• Performs small to large-scale solution recommendations and builds BoMs (Bill of Materials) based on customer requirements
• Facilitates the order process by responding to technical product inquiries from support staff and field personnel
• Provides guidance to the sales force regarding technology updates and changes
• Engages with customers for product information and recommendations
• Complies with time, Case, and reporting entry guidelines
• Creates and maintains process documentation
• Engages resources as required to complete or enhance customer solutions
• Provides research, analyses, problem solving, technical support, and general maintenance of client relationships
• Monitors and reports the status of efforts, anticipates and identifies issues that inhibit the attainment of goals, implements corrective actions
• Provides guidance to less experienced team members
• May take a lead role as the team subject matter expert on certain products or solutions
• Assists in the standing up and development of processes around new projects or lines of business
• Develops and maintains reusable assets (templates, tools, etc.) for the Solutions Build practice
• Training/Certifications: Attend training sessions or shadowing activities and obtain industry related certifications as determined by management
• Identify and recommend eligible services opportunities

• Associates degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology
• IT engineering experience dealing with Storage and/or Compute infrastructure solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  Dell TA, HPE ASE, or other equivalent tier certifications from other manufacturers relating to x86 Servers, Converged, Storage, and/or Hybrid Infrastructure
• Technical presales experience
• Demonstrated project scoping experience
