We are committed to delivering high-quality and secure services to our clients, and we are seeking a dedicated and motivated PCI Advisory Associate Consultant to join our team.  

You will play a crucial role in assisting with a variety of technical PCI assessments, including validation of applications, databases, servers, networking devices, and security tools and software. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Senior Consultants, Managers, and Directors to accomplish the team’s goals and deliver the highest quality work to our clients. You will often interface directly with clients; therefore, the ability to clearly articulate complex and technical results to a general business audience is paramount.

What you will do:  

  • Assist Consultants and Senior Consultants with performing cybersecurity audits of Level 1 Merchants and Service Providers against the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS)
  • Perform PCI DSS Readiness or Gap Assessments to identify current compliance status and consult organizations on the proper path moving forward
  • Perform SWIFT Assessments using the Customer Security Controls Framework (CSCF) (All architecture types)
  • Develop information technology and security policies and procedures
  • Provide clients with trusted advisory services and guidance that will reduce their organizational risk and improve their overall cyber security posture
  • Prepare reports and other deliverables, which contain strategy, technical analysis, and findings in connection with our Practice’s advisory and assessment engagements, also communicating these results to multiple levels of clients’ management.

What we expect of you:

  • Ability to learn independently through shadowing and “on-the-job” training vs. structured boot camps and detailed step-by-step instructions
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills to capture notes during PCI interview sessions with clients
  • Personal qualities like strong critical thinking and analytical skills, self-motivation, professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Ability to leverage available technical resources and tools (online and otherwise) to research and expand personal knowledge when needed

Technical Skills & Proficiency.  Basic knowledge of and familiarity with the following concepts from educational studies or internships:

  • Network architecture and security concepts
  • Application security, SDLC, and change management
  • Server security hardening
  • Patch and vulnerability management
  • Physical security
  • Bonus Skills: Cloud engineering and security

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree (or greater):in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or similar

Travel and Location:

  • Average 10-20%.  Open to travel anywhere in the US
