The Manager, Configuration Center is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the Configuration Center and Special Operations teams. This role oversees project management and process improvement initiatives while ensuring internal and external customers receive outstanding service. 

Key Areas of Responsibility    

  • Manage the activities performed in all work areas within the Configuration Center and Special Operations teams to include day-to-day operations, manage workload, implementation of procedures, assignments, project management and profitability, records management, collection and reporting of statistics, and budget/P&L activities and billing for services tender.
  • Oversee a team of coworkers including coaching, development, and performance management.
  • Develop and execute action plans geared towards staffing and coworker engagement.
  • Meet with leaders and coworkers to provide weekly status of projects, to communicate department and company information.
  • Serve as an escalation point for coworkers and customer for special requests and exceptions.
  • Educate Sales force and other departments on the Configuration Center service offerings.
  • Plan, develop and facilitate changes in operational procedures, process improvement, coworker incentive programs, ISO documentation, best practices, workflow, personnel assignments, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with management team to ensure departmental bench strength.
  • Ensure safe working environment and risk management.
  • Conduct tours as needed.
  • Ensure the quality of the installations to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • The general work hours will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and may change based on business need.
  • Work after hours or weekend as business need dictates.
  • Occasional travel as required.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications    

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • 5 years of working technical and configuration experience.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new technology and to put it into practical use.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information. Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology. Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize. Ability to apply common sense in performing job. Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines. Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications    

  • Bachelors Degree (BS).
  • A+ Certification and Network+ Certification or equivalent.
  • Preferred Qualifications for Internal Applicants only: One year of prior management experience within CDW. Familiar with CDW’s current systems and tools.
