The Renewal Support Specialist IV focuses on assisting Sales in the lifecycle of solutions related to renewals. The Senior Renewal Support Specialist IV builds relationships and educates sales on the programs, resources, and pricing strategies available to secure on time, profitable renewals, and net new contracts.

The Renewal Support Specialist IV develops and maintains strategic relationships with Sales, Management, and the partners’ sales organization to ensure on time renewals and profitable growth and is seen as a trusted advisor to grow business.

The Renewal Support Specialist IV leads, coaches and mentors teamates. Expectations include: helping to define best practices, improve existing tools, create templates, builds resources, and consistently shares knowledge and information that benefits the team and practice area.


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop territory and all largest customer opportunities within that territory. Coordinate with sales via joint sales calls based on customer's specific needs. The Renewal Support Specialist IV also serves as a subject matter expert and consultative sales resource for customers, CDW's sales force and CDW’s partners
  • Meet renewal targets and objectives assigned by Management.
  • Subject Matter Expert for large RFP and other large customer opportunities.
  • Attend and present at internal Sales or Partner meetings.
  • Track and provide status updates on all open opportunities for assigned territory.
  • Mentor Renewal Support Specialist including educating on up selling, multi-year options, higher service level, financing options and the benefits of CDW renewal product.
  • Educate and advise on continued development of renewal processes and related systems.
  • Participate in floor days and other marketing activities.
  • Advise all parties on any partner training credits, leasing options and additional partner incentives.
  • Managing transactional operations of renewals, including quoting.
  • Respond to email and inquiries from sales and customers regarding their expiring renewals
  • Manage lead lists/renewal portals to maximize time, effort and sales.
  • Respond to renewal inquiries from sales.
  • Manage pipeline of quotes/orders.
  • Be responsive to sales and customers.
  • Attend external trainings and conferences (Manager’s approval).
  • As needed, take lead on a sales opportunity without sales assistance. 

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3-year experience minimum as Renewal Support Specialist III or equivalent experience

Other Required Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Proven success and experience selling partner solutions and services or equivalent
  • Knowledge and proven success of engaging and working with sales teams
  • Ability to execute on territory goals and metrics
  • Ability to adapt and change to the business needs of the practice and team coverage model
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including consulting skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong passion for learning and teaching others
  • Proven group presentations skills
  • Ability to think creatively and identify proactive ideas that will increase sales
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers and coworkers
