Upon completion of the program, you will advance into a Monitoring/Observability and AIOps engineering role on CDW’s Managed Services team where you will accelerate your career.

What you’ll be doing:
Participate in a best-in-class training program while gaining valuable on-the-job skills. As an Associate Consulting Engineer (ACE), you will be actively involved in technical solving opportunities and assigned to meaningful projects that align with your skill set. Learn from top technology professionals as well as pursue certifications that are incorporated into the program.

  • Engage in and improve the lifecycle of monitoring and observability tools, monitoring product development and automation; from solution design, deployment, operation, and refinement
  • Support systems before they go live through activities such as design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews
  • Monitor and maintain tools and platform solutions post-go-live by measuring availability, latency, capacity, and overall system health
  • Scale systems sustainably through automation; evolve systems to improve reliability and velocity
  • Develop monitoring/observability applications and automations, following industry best practices
  • Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems
  • Collaborate with coworkers as a member of an Agile (Scrum) team
  • Develop clear solution documentation with appropriate instructions and knowledge-base articles

Minimum Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the United States; immigration sponsorship (H-1B, TN, etc.) is not available
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • One of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, or related discipline plus 1 year of relevant practical experience in systems administration (Linux), or software development
    • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, or related discipline plus 2 years of relevant practical experience in systems administration (Linux), or software development
    • 3 years relevant practical experience in systems administration (Linux), or software development
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (can vary by location)
  • Ability to work weekends and/or after hours as part of a 24x7 on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year or equivalent experience with Monitoring Tools (ScienceLogic, Dynatrace)
  • At least 1 year or equivalent experience with cloud technology (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • At least 1 year or equivalent experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Experience participating in an Agile software development environment
  • Experience in ITIL and IT Service / Operations Management (ITSM/ITOM)
