Receiving performs the function of quality controlling inbound shipments from our Vendor Partners, Customer Owned Inventory, and Buy and Hold. 
The Inbound Coordinator is responsible for communicating with Carriers, Vendor Partners, and Internal Customers to schedule inbound deliveries and review and address shipment quality issues. Also, certified as a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operator, responsibilities may include inspecting, operating, and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials. In addition, MHE Operators move materials and/or products using equipment to and from storage areas, fulfill customer orders, and maintain quality through our Preferred Methods.
Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Quality Control by accurately inspecting, counting, and receiving in products using RF scanner or AS400 menu options. Review daily forecast and communicate with stakeholders to plan placement of Inbound loads.
  • Utilize pallet-jack or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to move product or skids on the warehouse floor.  Quality Control by accurately inspecting, counting, and receiving in products
  • Follow Preferred Methods and Safety guidelines. Unload trucks, move pallets or product using a pallet jack or MHE.
  • Rotate throughout the Receiving department performing various receiving functions, including housekeeping. Follow Preferred Methods and Safety Guidelines.
  • Assist other areas of Operations, including cross-department functions, for training and operational purposes. Rotate throughout the Receiving department performing various receiving functions, including housekeeping. 
Other Responsibilities
  • Communicate with stakeholders by phone, email, or in person during the scheduling, offloading, and quality control processing of inbound shipments.
  • Use AS400, SPS, and Microsoft Office to review and enter data.
  • Log Carrier non-compliances and Vendor Partner discrepancies and communicate them by phone, email, or in person.
  • Upload digital images of inbound paperwork using Application Xtender, and file Receiving documents.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous receiving or warehouse experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, counting, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to perform 8 or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying products in any combination at any given time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (team-lift for anything above 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as the weather fluctuates, noise from conveyors and forklifts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AS400 or other warehouse management system.
  • MHE experience.
