The Purchasing Operations Associate is responsible for backorder fulfillment and inventory management. This role is required to drive down our financial risk in collaboration with CDW sales.



Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Primary responsibilities; processing of front-end bids and specialized inventory requests
  • Understand differentiation of front-end/back-end CDW bids
  • Review opportunities for best supplier and accurately set pricing per product
  • Comprehension of product classification
  • Develop internal and external partner relationships at all levels to contribute to inventory management
  • Proven track record in inventory management, with focus on handling product positioning issues.
  • Ability to accurately complete the weekly inventory report
  • Able to multi-task and time management
  • Communication between sales and operations

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 1 year of Purchasing Experience

Other Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact and present to all stakeholders including senior leadership
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Critical thinking and resourcefulness to solve problems with supply chain and inventory management
  • Working knowledge of purchasing related accounting issues
  • History of successfully working independently
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Ability to work extended hours (month/quarter end) when required.
