As a Fellow on the Portfolio Enablement Team, you will work on projects impacting the process and flow of the pipeline of work to our development teams. You will gain valuable experience while delivering work that makes a difference. The Portfolio Enablement workstreams include Intake, Business Relationship Management, ART level Product Management, Benefits Realization and Reporting & Analytics – all components of an end to end process. We strive to provide our interns a meaningful experience and consider CDW for a full-time career post-graduation. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Assists in complex projects related to capacity planning, prioritization and enabling the right work to flow to dev teams at the right time.
  • Learn about SAFe Agile and what that methodology looks like in day-to-day work while being aligned to Agile value streams, which are highly visible and critical to the business.
  • Maintaining day-to-day tasks related to product delivery, and the overall health of the portfolio of work.
  • Assist in the delivery Benefits Realization on programs and projects within stated targets.
  • Maintaining a centralized knowledge repository, ensuring information is properly categorized and easily accessible
  • Supporting the product owner in managing communications with stakeholders, managing business stakeholder's expectations for deliverables. 

The 2024 CDW Legacy Excellence Summer Program will begin Tuesday, May 28th and end Saturday, August 3rd.  

Participation in the Legacy Excellence Program requires residing in Chicago for the summer and attendance at one of the following HBCUs: 

  • Alabama A&M University
  • Florida A&M University
  • North Carolina A&T State University
  • Southern University and A&M College 

Requirements (Preferred) 

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or related field 
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across the company and departments at all levels
  • The ability to support the needs of the project team and internal stakeholders, while holding team members accountable for completion
  • Interest in looking at processes and systems and finding efficiencies for ways of working.  

What we’re looking for:  

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate students with a graduation date of May 2025 with ability to begin full-time employment in 2025 (if offered employment post-internship)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA 
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and results-driven individual who will make an impact while utilizing strong written and verbal skills to communicate effectively
  • Team oriented and able to develop positive relationships with coworkers and other partners involved
  • Strong presentation skills, including ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Microsoft Office skills including, but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word  
  • Availability to work a 40-hour week within standard business hours throughout the summer
  • Authorization to work in the US; without sponsorship as a full-time coworker
