2024 Legacy Excellence Program – Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) Fellowat CDW Careers

As an ESG Fellow at CDW, you will work on high-quality projects where you will gain valuable experience while delivering work that makes a difference. We strive to provide our Fellows with a meaningful experience and consider CDW for a full-time career post-graduation. 

What you’ll do: 

Our ESG program at CDW serves to empower our business and stakeholders to do great things and amplify our long-term sustainable impact.  The types of projects you might work on include:

• Supporting ESG disclosures eg. CDP, including implementing processes for collecting and verifying ESG data from our internal stakeholders
• Reviewing CDW’s ESG performance by select rating agencies to ensure our scores are reflective of the strength and progress of our programs
• Research on ESG topics leading to creation of policies and programs
• Create supporting materials on ESG to make it easy for teams to respond to RFPs and other sales inquiries
• Other projects to be determined 

The 2024 CDW Legacy Excellence Summer Program will begin Tuesday, May 28th and end Saturday, August 3rd.  

Participation in the Legacy Excellence Program requires residing in Chicago for the summer and attendance at one of the following HBCUs: 

• Alabama A&M University
• Florida A&M University
• North Carolina A&T State University
• Southern University and A&M College 

Requirements (Preferred) 

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, environmental studies or business-related field
• Interest in how corporations can implement environmental, social and governance programs, e.g. climate action, social impact, business diversity 

What we’re looking for:  

• Currently enrolled undergraduate students with a graduation date of May 2025 with ability to begin full-time employment in 2025 (if offered employment post-internship)
• Minimum 3.0 GPA 
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills
• Attention to details, perseverance in finding solutions to challenges
• Self-motivated and results-driven individual who will make an impact while utilizing strong written and verbal skills to communicate effectively
• Team oriented and able to develop positive relationships with coworkers and other partners involved
• Strong presentation skills, including ability to develop and deliver presentations
• Microsoft Office skills including, but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word  
• Availability to work a 40-hour week within standard business hours throughout the summer
• Authorization to work in the US; without sponsorship as a full-time coworker
