The Bid Desk facilitates all partner pricing, along with all partners, vendor, and internal bid programs to help the CDW Sales Organization grow margin and revenue by offering the best and most competitive price to CDW’s customers on products carried. The Associate Bid Desk Specialist applies special pricing scenarios through ongoing communication with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Purchasing, Accounting and Partner representatives. The Associate Bid Desk Specialist is required to become proficient in fundamental Bid Desk processes.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Validate end user eligibility, enter associated costs, calculations, time frames and discounts

  • Address basic bid processing issues as they arise from Sales via email, phone, or bid text

  • Minimize “write-off’s” and escalate issues as necessary to the appropriate stakeholder

  • Multi-task between multiple bid programs

  • Understand rebate collection process and how it pertains to daily processing

  • Assist in projects related to departmental initiatives and goals

  • Suggest process improvements and system enhancements in order to increase overall bid processing efficiencies

  • Provide Sales with the highest level of service

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Required Qualifications

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience working in a fast-paced work environment

  • Working knowledge of AS400

  • Customer Service or Sales experience
