The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Associate monitors, responds to, and maintains the security systems used to protect company property and coworkers. This includes access control and intrusion detection, video surveillance, and fire detection systems. GSOC Associates also monitor open-source intelligence feeds for security incidents and disasters with the potential to create business disruptions globally, using internal tools to communicate those risks to company stakeholders.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Collaborate with security staff via various communication mediums to include a two-way radio system, cellphones, SMS text, and email.
• Monitor and maintain CDW electronic security systems, including fire protection, intrusion detection, video surveillance and access control.
• Update access control programming for personnel IDs, ensuring the appropriate access levels based on varying responsibilities; and verify the identities of CDW personnel seeking access to CDW premises, when required.
• Answer telephone calls and seek out answers to varying questions posed by company personnel.
• Facilitate CDW site emergency communication using a mass notification tool.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent (GED)

• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
• Demonstrated ability to detect urgency levels and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to work with technical tools and computer software.
• Strong attention to detail
• Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to collaborate with peers and management, as well as interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Flexibility of schedule to accommodate varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Demonstrated experience in critically evaluating situations, applying strong problem-solving techniques, and making sound decisions.
