The Outbound Team Leader oversees the day-to-day process of the departments responsibilities and provides a high level of administrative support. This role is responsible for assisting management maintain performance and quality standards. The team leader will also be responsible for delegating tasks and setting deadlines to help meet operational goals.
What you will do:
- Monitor workflow process to ensure Inbound/ Outbound orders and assigned tasks are completed correctly. Make staffing decision based on work and allocate resources appropriately.
- Coach coworkers on the preferred method and discuss opportunities with management.
- Delegate work consistently amongst coworkers to achieve all required deadlines.
- Uphold all safety practices and work with the management and safety team on opportunities. Assist with daily stretches and team huddles.
- Demonstrate and coach on our quality standards. Follow all preferred methods to help achieve our quality metrics and sustain our customer experience.
- Continuously develop and grow yourself through Leadership Development.
- Evaluate current processes for improvement and work on recommendations with management.
- Use problem solving skills to research orders and items to meet our customer’s expectations and minimize downtime.
- Subject matter expert for all team members regarding the department process.
- Assist other areas of Operations, including cross-department functions, for training and operational purposes.
- Assist with picking and processing customer order’s using a RF scanner, including placing non-conveyable product in designated areas for pick up and loading outbound trailers.
- Quality control boxes from weight variance and Jackpot lanes.
- Release and sort orders according to location and priority.
- Rotate throughout the Shipping Department performing various shipping functions.
- Maintain, model, and communicate a safe, clean, and organized work area. Maintain supplies for the area.
What we expect of you:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One-year previous warehouse experience
- Perform 8 or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying products up to 50 lbs. in combination at any given time
- Strong attention to detail and accurate counting ability
- Excellent organizational skills
- Solid verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders
- Comfort working in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as the weather fluctuates, noise from conveyors, and forklifts
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification a plus
- Knowledge with Microsoft Office applications a plus

Pay: $ 21.00 an hour
