The Benefits Specialist serves as a liaison, supporting and managing relationships with key third-party benefit providers to enhance coworker well-being and engagement. This role is responsible for overseeing workers’ compensation administration and delivering expert guidance on benefit offerings and enrollment processes. Additionally, the specialist ensures compliance, data accuracy, and optimal program performance through in-depth analysis and continuous process improvements.

What you will do:

  • Vendor Relationship Management – Acts as the primary liaison between CDW and key benefit partners, including the Café, Vending, Fitness Center, and Childcare Center, ensuring seamless operations, service excellence, and program optimization.
  • Recognition Program Oversight – Administers and enhances CDW’s coworker recognition initiatives, aligning them with company culture and engagement strategies.
  • Workers’ Compensation Administration – Manages CDW’s workers’ compensation program, collaborating with insurance providers and CDW’s safety and legal teams to ensure compliance, case resolution, and cost containment.
  • Benefits & Wellness Program Development – Supports the design, execution, and continuous improvement of company benefits and wellness programs, including conducting program evaluations, managing system transitions, and implementing new initiatives.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting – Compiles, analyzes, and interprets key benefits data, generating detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to support decision-making and program enhancements.
  • Coworker Benefits Consultation – Provides expert guidance to coworkers on plan features, eligibility, cost structures, and enrollment procedures, ensuring an optimal benefits experience. Troubleshoots and resolves complex coworker concerns.
  • Benefits Communication & Education – Develops, reviews, and refines benefit communication materials, including educational content, training materials, and instructional videos to enhance employee understanding and engagement.
  • Financial Oversight & Compliance – Audits and enters vendor invoices, verifies data accuracy, and resolves discrepancies with carriers to maintain financial integrity and program efficiency.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive coworker and company information, overseeing all data with discretion and in compliance with privacy policies and legal requirements.

What we expect of you:

  • Bachelors Degree and 3+ years’ experience in Benefits, HR, or related experience OR high school diploma and 7+ years’ experience in Benefits, HR, or related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders, including Senior Leadership.
  • History of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively relay benefits information to individuals who are not familiar with terms or programs.
  • History of working independently with little direction.
  • Strong creative problem solving skills and resourcefulness.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Pay range: $ 64,000-$97,200 depending on experience and skill set
