Role Overview

The Marketing Delivery team brings the marketing strategies and plans to life for the customer by becoming expert in effectively executing outbound marketing content and messaging. This team distributes all activities in the marketing plan to customers using the pre-selected marketing channel, including events. They support cross-marketing functions by facilitating traditional project management and providing collateral to the CDW Sales team. This team will oversee and enforce governance, helping to ensure that agreed upon principles and guidelines are taught, communicated, understood and adhered to. This team will also support the technology requirements of the marketing organization, managing rollouts, upgrades, etc.

 

The Manager, Demand Center is responsible for driving KPI performance by managing the strategic/collaborative development and execution of direct marketing activities with the Integrated Planning, Marketing Delivery and Analytics teams.

 

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Direct Marketing, this leader is accountable to design, develop & execute the Marketing Campaign contact strategy for email and direct mail activities, with a primary emphasis on email channel. Utilizing insights from reporting, test learnings, and collaborating with key stakeholders to adjust the targeting, engagement strategy and messaging/content to exceed activity KPI goals.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

·    Lead start to end execution of email and direct mail activities based on Campaign plans.

  • Analyze email & website metrics to identify drivers and create/execute optimization recommendations to improve activity performance.
  • Drive process improvement to maximize efficiency with the test/learn/implement approach.
  • Manage targeted list selection process, via IBM Campaign (aka Unica). This includes leveraging models, review/modify/create business rules, and operationalize new processes for setup efficiency while improving performance.
  • Provide subject matter expertise by sharing email metrics and insights with key stakeholders in support of informed, fact based business decisions on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Develop new opportunities to drive KPI performance such as existing activity optimizations, new activity development and leveraging new email platform capabilities.
  • Lead data enhancement projects, which includes leveraging platform capabilities to improve targeting/unifying data, optimize backend processes to communicate between platforms and databases.

Other Responsibilities

  • Responsible for email platforms - Eloqua and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget).
  • Evolve campaign workflow and targeting processes to maximize efficiency of resources.
  • Proactively work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure company activities are leveraging data & insights.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Planning and Analytics teams to develop strategic campaign opportunities
  • Manage a team of professionals which includes coaching, development and performance management
  • Proven knowledge of Email fundamentals & best practices such as: CAN-SPAM compliance, reputation management, industry standard KPIs, deliverability, mobile and email client rendering.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s Degree

·       5 years of experience in Marketing or related field.

·       3 years of experience with email marketing.

  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining strategic relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to be persuasive and influence stakeholders cross-functionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Track record of managing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing a team.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage a budget and revenue goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide strategy for multi-touch email nurture streams and directing inbound contact form submission capture strategy.
  • Master’s Degree.
  • Strategic marketing experience in the technology industry.
  • Proven track record of identifying, building and facilitating sales campaign activities.
  • Working knowledge of or experience working with high touch inside sales models.
  • Experience working with technology products and developing cross-sell, up-sell and solutions based offerings.
  • General understanding of relational databases.
  • Experience in project management and driving cross-functional alignment.
