Description

The Partner Development Specialist is responsible for sales of CDW’s integrated marketing solutions and related marketing activities to our vendor partners. Each coworker has individual responsibility for growing marketing sales for an outlined group of partners through: articulating the CDW Marketing value proposition, account mapping, building relationships (internal and external), and research. This role works directly with CDW’s PPM and Marketing groups and CDW Sales and Finance.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Uncover, Qualify, Position, Negotiate, and Close sales opportunities for CDW’s integrated marketing activities to our vendor partners
  • Expertly position relevant CDW Marketing Opportunities to our vendor partners
  • Align vendor partner and CDW priorities around product, marketing, and sales
  • Advocate partner marketing needs and concerns to relevant CDW stakeholders
  • Grow CDW’s marketing income for existing vendor partner customer base
Responsibilities
  • Articulate CDW’s marketing value proposition to new and existing vendor partners
  • Design, influence, and advise on partner marketing funding programs offered to CDW
  • Closely align with and advise PPM’s category teams around vendor partner marketing engagement
  • Maintain, track, and provide regular updates on assigned book of business

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of sales or marketing experience OR 3 years of CDW sales, marketing, or PPM experience
Other Required Qualifications
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close profitable sales opportunities
  • Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to effectively interact and present to all stakeholders including senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Strong understanding of cross functional teams
  • Strong problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technology industry experience
  • Media Sales Experience
  • Experience with IBM’s Unica Platform
