The Financial Analyst I coordinates the financial reporting needs of internal customers and provides quality support through analysis and reporting. This role is responsible for providing insightful process improvements ensuring optimized efficiency.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Partners with key internal customers and cross functional teams to provide valuable financial analysis.
  • Contributes to daily, monthly, and quarterly analysis, reporting, and presentations.
  • Prepares analysis to support corporate projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare supporting analysis for inquiries from cross functional teams.
  • Provide timely, insightful, actionable, and accurate analysis and recommendations to key areas in the organization.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements in reporting and analysis.

Key Areas of Responsibility (SW Finance Specific)

  • Identify and implement process and technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness within SW Finance team and within other CDW related departments.
  • Assist and maintain significant metrics and maintenance of existing reports that is shared with management.

Responsibilities

  • Work with accounting teams to ensure closing responsibilities and deadlines are met.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all external and internal departments.
  • Provide documentation for financial schedules.
  • Build successful partnerships with key internal customers and cross functional teams.
  • Prepare analysis to support projects and initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements in reporting and analysis.
  • Generate and validate daily reporting.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of financial analysis or data analytics experience OR
  • Associate’s degree and 3 years of financial analysis or data analytics experience

Other Required Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of finance concepts, principles and practices, and the ability to apply them
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Demonstrated critical attention to detail
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications with solid experience in Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of financial systems such as PeopleSoft or AS400.
  • Data warehouse experience
  • MBA or CPA
  • Working knowledge of SQL
