Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Lead in the delivery of security consultative engagements for a wide variety of clients in different industry verticals, to improve their security posture following CDW methodology
  • Assess segmentation challenges within an environment, identify key strategic issues and advise on best course of action to increase client’s security posture
  • Possess the ability to work in a client environment and develop a multitude of relationships with both technical and business staff
  • Through the application of industry standards and security best practices define and promote architectures that can meet compliance and regulation requirements while improving the security posture of the organization
  • Understand the security interplay in the areas of application assurance, data classification, network security, and emerging IT trends and threats.
  • Analyze and assess client facing challenges, and apply expert level knowledge for security and defense-in-depth to identify recommended solutions, and define a roadmap planning, and adoption strategies to successfully implement such solutions
  • Develop and deliver workshops in the areas of security to include but not limited to security policy, process flows, architecture, remediation and solution definitions.
  • Develop and deliver design workshops for complex designs and solutions to meet client business and technical objectives
  • Develop reports and supporting presentations for both client and internal discussions
  • Effectively communicate security policy and technology issues and product capabilities through both high-quality written documents unstructured interviews to all levels of client
  • Keep up to date with network security issues and products; develop and complete an education plan to grow your skills consistent with client needs
  • Follow life-cycle oriented processes and procedures
  • Regularly interface with technical and business staff of customers, including the project sponsor and stakeholders
  • Identify and communicate potential opportunities and recommendations to Sellers and Presales
  • Manage time and expense to meet or exceed expectations defined in the Statement of Work
  • Provide high quality content deliverables using the appropriate document templates
  • Ensure solutions are implemented as designed to the client’s satisfaction and approval
  • Work with Professional Services Managers, Account Managers, Project Managers and customers to manage expectations and timelines to ensure client expectations and commitments are being met
  • Proactively develops processes, plans and activities to avoid potential issues
  • Educates the client on solution as appropriate throughout the life of the project or consulting engagement
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, as needed, to demonstrate team competency, explain offerings, and provide guidance about engagement scope and structure.
  • Effectively communicate security policy and technology challenges verbally on both a formal and informal basis to all levels of client staff, ranging from end users to senior executives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in business, computer science, a related technical degree or equivalent
  • Five years’ experience delivering complex technical solutions including planning, development, implementation and support

Other Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years consulting experience
  • Ability to deliver consulting activities, including conducting comprehensive discovery, analysis and technical/business recommendations creation
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with a customer at all levels from C-level executives to end users
  • Possess skill sets in regards to network segmentation design and implementation
  • Demonstrated background in technical understanding of diversified security solutions related to network security, credential and identity security, and general Microsoft security
  • Possess expertise in leading and managing a project comprised of technical and non-technical members
  • Demonstrated background in supporting, implementing, or designing secure configuration, vulnerability management, including patching, security hygiene processes
  • Extensive experience and demonstrated knowledge on risk management methods and approaches to measuring effectiveness, understand and eloquently explain enterprise segmentation, and have practical experience dealing with highly diverse technical environments.
  • Seasoned ability in the development of professional level deliverables and highly effective skills in the presentation and communication of the deliverables in terms of findings, conclusions, and recommendations
  • Experience and understanding of compliance frameworks, standards, regulation, and legislation that directly impacts Information Technology (e.g. ISO27001, NIST CSF, PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPPA, NIST 800-53 etc.)
  • Minimum of one year experience in programming or analytical work
  • Knowledge of security specialty areas such as policy, disaster avoidance and recovery planning, technical investigations, or risk analysis
  • Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs
  • Attention to detail on inventory and logistics is important

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP certification
  • At least one other standard certification (e.g., CISA, GCIH) preferred
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following scripting/programming languages: Python, PowerShell, or Perl
  • Experience with Active Directory environments including Group Policy, ADFS, AD LDS, LDAP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Experience with network generation firewalls including Cisco FirePower and Palo Alto Networks
  • Experience with segmentation technologies such as Network Access Control, Cisco TrustSec, Cisco SD Access, and Cisco ACI
  • Experience with advanced endpoint security solutions such as Carbon Black, Crowd Strike, Cisco AMP for EndPoints, and Palo Alto Networks Traps
  • Experience with cloud based hosting including Office 365, Google G Suite, MS Azure, and Amazon AWS
  • Direct responsibility for one of the following; policy and process design or review, forensics and incident response, application security, or security administration
  • Experience with micro-segmentation and containerization
