The Distribution Support Supervisor is a front-line supervisor who oversees Distribution Services operations on a daily basis. The Distribution Support Supervisor manages freight flow processes and maintains research areas, supervises the freight team efficiently to ensure on-time delivery of orders, ensures the team follows CDW documents policies and procedures, promotes an engaged workforce, provides assistance to freight team when loading trailers, ensures freight is properly sorted based on carrier and or destination, handles misdirected shipments and seals discrepancies in a timely fashion.
Provides freight updates to management team on a regular basis, addresses internal and external customer inquiries regarding order deliveries in a timely fashion, provides exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction, and schedules weekly meetings with WDC parcel carriers to ensure all shipments are making in-network service levels same day.
Works with the maintenance team to ensure freight loading dock doors are properly serviced and in working condition, ensures freight area is cleaned, organized and set-up for the next business day, establishes and enforces safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe working environment, establishes and tracks productivity and quality standards, establishes inspection protocols and holds coworkers/contractors accountable. Closes the shipping operations and sends daily WDC operating summary report to the EC committee and WDC leadership team.
