The Operations Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for performing analytical tasks and research for purposes to develop the overall operations of our supply chain. This role requires thorough and in-depth ability to analyze and interpret data, generate solutions, pay close attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management. The Analyst works closely with Operations management and the associated functional areas of customer relations, ICAN, transportation, and the distribution centers to support CDW financial and customer experience initiatives.


Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Creates weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and analysis on key business metrics (throughput, capacity, utilization, quality, etc.) for Operations management
  • Responsible for providing regularly scheduled updates to current reporting, as well as identifying and developing new reports as requested by Operations management
  • Trains operations subject matter experts on report utilization and interpretation
  • Analyzes operations performance metrics and identifies patterns/trends in the data in order to provide valuable feedback to operations leadership on best practices, areas of possible improvement, or untapped opportunity
  • Represent Operations in cross-functional meetings, projects and task force groups
  • Collaborates with other functional areas of CDW to address larger business process inefficiencies related to Operations as needed
  • Conduct market research into emerging analytics trends in the supply chain industry to provide recommendations to management to improve business processes, relationships, and cost.
  • Manage electronic database(s) as support for identifying issues, trends and opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
  • Assist in data analytics to drive operations and supply chain initiatives and projects
  • Assist in executing tasks for internal projects

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of data analytics experience OR
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years of data analytics experience
Other Required Qualifications
  • Experience creating SQL queries and working with relational databases
  • Experience working with Access Database, Power BI, Cognos and/or other business intelligence tools
  • Experience completing charts and graphs and providing analysis to peers and management
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders 
  • History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines. 
  • Critical attention to detail and solid creative problem-solving skill
  • Demonstrated ability to do in depth research 
  • Ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels including Senior Leadership 
  • General understanding of critical supply chain functions including: warehousing, transportation, customer service, inventory management, procurement
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year supply chain experience (warehousing, procurement, transportation)
  • Cross-functional supply chain experience (warehousing, procurement, transportation)
  • Experience supporting Access Database, Power BI, Cognos and/or other business intelligence tools
