We have internships in multiple areas of Strategic Programs. Each is outlined below, and you only need to apply once. Alignment to a specific internship will be discussed during the interview process.

Customer Contracts & Programs Intern
As a Customer Contracts & Programs Intern, you will be responsible for providing support and an understanding of customer contracting at CDW. We will give you the opportunity to work directly with our key Programs & Contracts partners to collaborate on projects that directly affect the business.
What you’ll do:
  • Shadow coworkers within Program Management to gain an understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop knowledge of customer contracting and our model for support.
  • Learn how contracts and programs drive business with our customers.
  • Administer an assigned project to enhance accuracy and efficiency related to compliance and cost to manage customer contracts in the portfolio. Provide regular updates on project progress.
  • Assist team with other smaller projects or tasks related to contract administration and maintenance in general, as assigned.
Service Contract Negotiation Intern
As a Service Contracts Intern, you will be responsible for providing support and an understanding of service contract negotiation at CDW. We will give you the opportunity to work alongside the team, to interface with our key customers and services partners. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders in the department and adjacent functions on projects that directly affect the business.
What you’ll do:
  • Shadow coworkers within the Service Contracts Team to gain an understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop knowledge of customer and partner service contracts and contract negotiation process.
  • Learn contract negotiation strategies and how negotiation decisions impact business with our customers.
  • Support Service Contracts Leadership team in creating a comprehensive onboarding program for new team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders impacted by Service Contracts Team including Counsel, Proposals, and the Capture Contracts team.
  • Work directly with Service Contract Negotiators on other smaller projects or tasks related to contract management and negotiation in general, as assigned.
Strategic Programs Intern
As a Strategic Programs Intern, you will be responsible for providing support and understanding the bids and proposals process at CDW. We will give you the opportunity to work directly with key internal resources to collaborate on projects that directly affect the business.
What you’ll do: 
  • Shadow coworkers within Proposals to gain an understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop knowledge of customer contracting and our model for support.
  • Learn how Requests For Proposals (RFPs) drive business with our customers.
  • Administer an assigned project to enhance compliance, accuracy, and efficiency related to preparing written responses to bids and proposals that position CDW for success. Provide regular updates on project progress.
  • Assist team with other smaller projects or tasks related to proposal content creation, graphic design, and template library, as assigned.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:
  • Currently enrolled undergraduate students with a graduation date of December 2020, May 2021, December 2021 or May 2022.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Someone who is self-motivated and driven to get results and make an impact while utilizing strong written and verbal skills to communicate effectively.
  • Availability to work a 40-hour week within standard business hours throughout the summer.
  • Someone who is team oriented and able to develop positive relationships with coworkers and other partners involved.
  • General computer and email proficiency
  • Authorization to work in the US; without sponsorship as a full-time coworker.
