The Supervisor, Contract Negotiations is responsible for supporting the organization’s client acquisition and risk mitigation efforts through the review, drafting, and persuasive negotiation of a wide array of agreements including, but not limited to, NDAs, master sales agreements, and procurement solicitations.


In addition, the Supervisor, Contract Negotiations will develop and coach the members of the Contract Negotiations Team in all aspects of deal structure, strategic risk review, compliance and professional development. In addition to these primary duties, the Supervisor, Contract Negotiations shall assist the Manager, Contract Negotiations in the development of team and department tools, templates, trainings, processes, and procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Execute risk analysis, drafting, and negotiation of customer-facing agreements, procurement solicitations and other agreements of varying degrees of complexity which may arise given business and organizational need
  • Train, mentor, coach and develop the team to achieve their professional goals and properly coordinate team assignments to ensure even distribution of work
  • Build relationships with internal and external customers, counterparties, subcontractors and/or vendors, as applicable
  • Address contract-related inquiries as they arise, with appropriate escalation to the Manager, Contracts Negotiations when required
  • Oversee compliance with internal processes and guidelines
  • Participate in the development of, and training on, contracting procedures and tools.
  • Monitor and report on team performance metrics focusing on workflow distribution challenges and maintenance of high performance standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 7 years of business and/or legal experience with expertise in the drafting and negotiation of various kinds of agreements, including procurement solicitations (RFIs, RFBs, RFQs and RFPs) for the applicable segment

OR

  • 5 years of CDW business and/or legal experience with expertise in drafting and negotiation of various kinds of agreements, including procurement solicitations (RFIs, RFBs, RFQs and RFPs) for the applicable segment
  • Previous management or supervisory experience

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership ability with an intense focus on diplomatic relationship building
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to recognize and address both business and legal risks and opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with a comprehensive command of contract terms and phrasing
  • Proven ability to effectively articulate positions throughout negotiations and persuade others
  • Ability to effectively interact, influence and gain acceptance of coworkers within different levels of the organization and within different departments
  • Ability to multi-task, to perform well under tight time constraints, to meet hard deadlines, and to respond quickly to emergent issues with poise and composure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat editing tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), Juris Doctorate (JD), or other Contract Management professional certification (CPCM, CCM, etc.)
  • 10 years of business and/or legal experience with expertise in the drafting and negotiation of various kinds of agreements, including procurement solicitations (RFIs, RFBs, RFQs and RFPs) for the applicable segment

OR

  • 7 years of CDW business and/or legal experience with expertise in drafting and negotiation of various kinds of agreements, including procurement solicitations (RFIs, RFBs, RFQs and RFPs) for the applicable segment
  • Professional technical services contract administration experience
  • System and contract database management experience
