Reporting to the Supervisor, Contract Negotiations, the Contract Negotiator supports the organization’s client acquisition and risk mitigation efforts through the review, drafting, and negotiation of a wide array of agreements including, but not limited to, non-disclosure agreements, master sales agreements, terms and conditions of sale, and procurement solicitations (RFI, RFB, RFQ, and RFP).
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Analyzes, drafts, and negotiates agreements with minimal direction, according to organizational guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborates with multiple internal departments to develop a negotiation strategy aimed at minimizing risk and maximizing value to the organization.
- Utilizes a contract management tracking database.
- Provides training and guidance to account teams, peers, and other internal stakeholders regarding contract terms, contract review procedures, and negotiation strategies.
- Addresses urgent opportunities as they arise, with appropriate escalation to the Supervisor, Contract Negotiations and/or Manager, Contract Negotiations when required.
- Proposes and assists with the development of tools for the enhancement of contractual processes and documentation.
- Serves as a mentor to Contract Negotiation Analysts.
- Additional duties may be assigned on an as needed basis.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

4 years’ experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating of various kinds of transactional sales agreements or procurement solicitations (RFIs, RFBs, RFQs and RFPs).
OR

Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Juris Doctorate (JD) Degree

2 years’ experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating of various kinds of transactional sales agreements or procurement solicitations (RFIs, RFBs, RFQs and RFPs).
Required Qualifications

Demonstrable IT product, contract negotiation, and sales lifecycle knowledge.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to recognize and address both business and legal opportunities and risks.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a comprehensive command of contract terms and phrasing.

Proven ability to persuasively articulate positions throughout the negotiation process.

Illustrated ability to effectively interact, influence and gain acceptance of coworkers within different levels of the organization and within different departments.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe editing tools.
