The Software Inside Sales Engineer (ISE) role will apply the necessary solution and services breadth to support our sales teams in the pursuit of strategic opportunities within their region. In addition, the Software ISE role fosters relationships within the channel to position our solutions and services as industry leading within their specific region.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales support of Software Services related opportunities across CDW’s Field Solution Architects, Technical Specialists, Inside Account Managers and License Account Executives in all geographies and within all segments of our business. This support will be provided on project based opportunities and that support will include the creation of a services estimate and SoW.
  • Make telephone and in-person calls and presentations to clients and potential clients.
  • Create and deliver polished proposals and client deliverables.
  • Provide timely and accurate work estimates for clients.
  • Provide management oral and written reports on the client needs, problems, interests, market situations, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services.
  • Be knowledgeable about products, applications, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical services.
  • Conduct training for License Account Executives and Inside Account Managers on our services offerings, partner programs and engagement best practices.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with other CDW departments on the execution of specialist related opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to Solutions Team concerning trends and opportunities
  • 75% Sales activities via conference calls, email, and customer visits
  • 20% Training – technology and personal development
  • 5% Team development and miscellaneous tasks
  • Travel as required

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of technical sales or technical experience
  • Two years minimum of Software solution experience.

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including consulting skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong passion for learning and teaching others
  • Proven group presentations skills
  • Motivated and self-starting
  • Ability to think creatively and come up with proactive ideas that will increase sales

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers and coworkers
  • Concentrate on certain areas of technology driven by company technology objectives
  • Experience in technology sales

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technology sales
  • Certifications aligned to Microsoft 365 solutions
  • Experience working in a fast-paced work environment
