In this role, you will be responsible for leading and evolving the Ed Strategists role in 2022. You'll lead complex, multidisciplinary projects aimed at centering impact in our education go-to-market, product/services development and marketing efforts. You will scope and prioritize needs, define requirements with internal stakeholders, and help cross-functional teams execute on initiatives to maximize ROI for both customers and CDW. You'll communicate the CDW Education mission to both internal and external stakeholders to bring together relevant players to the table. You’ll drive systemic, organizational change through strategy and planning, management and execution, and a goal and accountability-based approach. 

Key Areas of Responsibility

 
  • Lead and manage the North American team of experienced Education Strategists.  
  • Further develop national partnerships across the Edtech community and enhance manufacturer/vendor relationships to foster new opportunities while gathering market insight
  • Provide weekly reporting on business impact of Ed Strategy activities to Edu Leadership
  • Enhance CDWG’s national presence by engaging Education community and networking with industry contacts, vendors, customers, and internal field teams
  • Drive project teams to scale impact efforts by acting as liaison between internal cross-functional Education teams to ensure a consistent impact narrative
  • Guide CDW Amplified for Education portfolio from conception to launch by connecting the technical, business and education worlds
  • Coaching Ed Strategists to deepen relationships with district leaders across departments to expand account penetration
  • Standardize and hone Ed Strategist strategies, tools, and best practices to amplify CDW success stories 

Other Responsibilities

 
  • Participation in trainings, events, and activities on CDW’s behalf
  • Frequent visits/calls with various levels of management from high potential organizations
  • Communicate ideas with peers and leaders covering different markets
  • Develop business plan and job descriptions necessary for expansion of team
  • Present quarterly updates to executive management
  • Collaborate and communicate regularly cross functionally to drive forward yearly goals
  • Visiting customers and top prospects on own to present CDW Education Mission and value

 

 

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree required, preferably in Education or Technology
    Extra consideration for Masters and Doctorate in related fields.
  • Three (3) years of experience in technology sales or relevant fields.

  • Exemplary communication skills, written, oral, as well as presentation
  • Strong Leadership skills 
  • Demonstrated excellence in planning and execution
  • You are comfortable building relationships with customers and effective at problem solving. 
  • You are comfortable working cross-functionally, internally and externally, toward a strategic plan.
  • You are a confident presenter to high-level decision makers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous broad experience in K12  
  • You have previously worked effectively with remote, distributed teams
  • Ability to influence and understand the technology market
  • Served on a National or State level Education committee (ie. CoSN, SETDA)
