The Associate Billing Manager oversees a team of billing coworkers and the services and subscrptions billing function within Finance. This role will work cross-functionally to ensure complete, accurate and timely billing for the organization
This position is responsible for managing the Billing function. The Associate Billing Manager is responsible for the accuracy & timely billing of professional services & subscriptions. They will ensure that all month-end reports are run to ensure complete and accurate close. The Associate Billing Manager works closely with internal customers; including Professional Services Managers, Accounts Receivable and Accounting. They are responsible for supporting new offerings and integrations of newly acquired companies from a billing perspective. They will reinforce departmental policies and procedures and ensure the observance of system compliance.


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Manage a team of coworkers including performance management, coaching and development. 
  • Provide high level of support to internal and external customers. 
  • Participate in setting the department goals and objectives. 

Other Responsibilities

  • Manages the billing operations to ensure accurate and timely billing according to invoicing deadlines. 
  • Supports new offerings and the integration of newly acquired companies. 
  • Drives for continuous process improvement. 
  • Helps review and audit system compliance. 
  • Responsible for managing the Billing team; including performance management, coaching and development. 
  • Ensures timely and accurate month-end reporting and close. 
  • Monitors and documents performance of the coworkers on the Billing team, conducts performance reviews, develops goals and conducts regular team meeting. 

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • 4 years of relevant AR, Credit, Accounting or Finance experience. 

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to balance competing priorities with ability to adapt to changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with all stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working independently with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Proficient with electronic billing systems Microsoft Office applications and spreadsheet is required.
  • Proven skills to build and maintain productive relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Management Experience.
  • Experience working with a professional services or consulting organization.
  • PeopleSoft or Changepoint experience.
