The Sales Manager Assistant offers administrative and reporting support to senior and management level leadership. The role is responsible for assisting in all administrative tasks under the given sales leaders.  Provides support to sales leadership by assisting in all reporting requests and needs for our traditional sales organization. Create, implement and improve processes and reporting within the department.


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Manage CTMS; acting as management proxy
  • Manage Sales Leaders’ shared outlook calendars
  • Work on special projects assigned by the Sales Leaders
  • Order supplies such as; toner, business cards, etc.
  • Schedule and Coordinate invites for team outings and meetings with Sales Leaders and Partners
  • Event coordination for Sales Leaders
  • Create/Approve travel for sales team and sales direct reports
  • Process/Approve Expenses for Sales Leaders
  • Corp Credit Card Setup for Sales Leaders
  • Mobile Phone Setup for Sales Leaders
  • Edit/Create/Print/Bind presentations for meetings and customer visits for Sales Leaders
  • Update e-mail distribution lists
  • Compile and distribute reoccurring reports for assigned Sales Leaders
  • Work on special reporting projects assigned by the Sales Leaders
  • Identify key sales reporting for assigned Sales Leaders
  • Update account moves, via Mass upload and AS400
  • Facilitate & QA of Sales Leader initiated scrub lists
  • Update Account Coding Strings as needed


  • Compile Quarterly Business Review (QBR) reports for Sales Leaders
  • Assist with Territory Plans / Mid-Year Review Reports for Sales Leaders
  • Reserves and sets up meeting rooms and conference call lines
  • Assists with sales presentations; using PowerPoint
  • Assist in Team/Department projects
  • Work with Reporting Coordinator as needed for your Sales Leaders support
  • Prioritize and execute on Ad-Hoc reporting requests as they come in
  • Collaborate with Sales Analytics and Sales Support leadership to ensure reporting systems are producing accurate data
  • Work with Sales Support leadership to identify and produce automated reports for sales teams
  • Assist sales operations with reports upon request

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in one or more of the following capacities: Sales, Sales Support, Customer Service
  • Intermediate Excel experience required (will be tested)

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills; Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong time management
  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task
  • Flexibility, adaptability and an optimistic view of projects and work environment
  • Experience in validating and interpreting data
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management peers and coworkers
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% or as needed to other CDW locations, meetings and client sites
Preferred experience:
  • College degree
  • Experience in clerical and support capacity
