Sirius Federal, LLC is looking for a Business Analyst with FISMA (federal Information Security Modernization Act) experience to work at a customer site located in Washington, DC (position is remote during covid-19). 

The Business Analyst FISMA will gather and document requirements for mission-critical applications used to help halt the spread of weapons to terrorists or countries of concern and further important U.S. foreign policy objectives.   These systems and applications being created protect the United States by preventing technologies and weapons from getting into the hands of terrorists and adversarial countries.  

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct requirements gathering team meetings with business and technical stakeholders. 
• Capture functional and non-functional requirements using use cases and/or user stories.
• Documentation preparation for requirements, use cases, user stories, functional and non-functional requirements. 
• Support analysis, modeling, and other techniques as needed to translate business needs and requirements. 
• Provide support for Risk Management Framework, FISMA, and NIST-compliant processes
• Review and/ or revise applicable sections C&A/A&A packages of application systems and general support systems for assessment. 

Basic Qualifications:

• A current Secret clearance is preferred
• BA/BS or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of FISMA and Information Assurance related experience 
• 2+ years of Business Analyst related experience 
• Well versed with UML modeling, requirements gathering, and translating business needs to requirements 
• Use cases, user stories, functional and non-functional requirements
• Working in an Agile environment
• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST Security controls (800-53 etc.) and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
• Understanding and expertise in FISMA requirements and reporting
• Good writing and verbal presentation skills
