The Content Marketing team is passionate about strategic storytelling and aligning business priorities with thought leadership and editorial content throughout the customer journey. The team collaborates with other Marketing functions, Sales, Integrated Technology Solutions, and agency partners to plan content calendars and campaigns, develop content aligned to business objectives, and assess performance to impact future results. The Manager, Content Marketing role oversees the daily operations of the content marketing program to ensure that the plan and strategy are executed concisely, consistently and efficiently across all aspects of the program and in alignment with broader department and company goals. 


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to plan the strategy and execution of the overall content plan and ensure that activities are in alignment with the organization’s strategy and priorities. 
  • Developing and proposing new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization. 
  • Guiding the content team, stakeholders and agency partners to develop and execute long-term goals and objectives to achieve successful outcomes. 
  • Managing an annual budget and operating plan across all CDW content marketing initiatives. 
  • Working with team members to build program evaluation frameworks to assess the strengths of the programs and to identify areas for improvement. 
  • Supporting the development of department goals and plans against established objectives and suggesting corrective actions based on data and business needs. 
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to align messages, activities, programs and processes to maximize results. 
  • Guide agency partners on new initiatives and evaluate existing processes for improvements. 
  • Leading team members to ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization. 
  • Working with team members to ensure that program activities comply with all relevant business standards. 
  • Collaborating with team members and agency partners to build forms and records to document program activities and processes. 
  • Communicating with team members and other stakeholders to gain support for the program and to solicit input to improve the program. 
  • Collaborating with other managers and partners to ensure the effective and efficient delivery for the department. 
  • Ensuring consistency between different components of the program to increase effectiveness and efficiency. 
  • Ensuring that the department operates within the approved budget. 
  • Monitoring and approving budgeted program expenditures. 
  • Identifying and evaluating the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks. 
  • Evaluating activities and processes on a regular basis and recommend changes to enhance programs, as appropriate. 
  • Collaborating with Marketing, Sales and agencies to build content program strategies and plans. 
  • Communicating details of content plans and deliverables to internal stakeholders and external agencies. 
  • Working with team members to ensure consistency of programs and processes and building documented processes and best practices to share between team members, agency partners and stakeholders. 
  • Ensuring content activities are in alignment with the organization’s strategy and priorities. 
  • Collaborating with analytics teams to turn insights into actionable program improvements. 
  • Presenting new ideas and results to company leadership and other stakeholders. 
  • Developing new initiatives to support the strategic direction of CDW. 

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • 5 years proven experience developing and delivering high quality marketing programs on time and within budget. 

Required Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of marketing and/or content experience.
  • Proven record of successful project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the company including senior leadership.
  • Experience in developing content campaigns or strategies.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining strategic relationships.
  • Ability to multitask and be adaptable in a fast-changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 years of management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology product offerings and solutions.
