As an Oracle Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for driving sales growth specifically for the Oracle product line within CDW's corporate account base. Primarily working with CDW sales team (including Account Managers, Presales and Account Executives), you will need to develop pipeline and close sales using Oracle programs and incentives to deliver the best price for the customer, while maintaining profitability. 



Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Attain sales quota objectives 
  • Conduct high level conversations and training presentations 
  • Consistently build and deliver on account and opportunity pipeline
  • Drive sales and profitability for a specific product line 
  • Follow-up and qualify leads 
  • Generate new business opportunities to grow pipeline 
  • Identify key decision makers and manage the sales process 
  • Negotiate pricing and incentive programs and close business 
  • Proactively call into established targeted accounts 
  • Essential Function Time Allocation: 
  • 60% certifying sales leads, conducting teleconferences, closing business via telephone 
  • 20% applying pricing and incentive programs to maximize customer’s discount and company profits 
  • 10% coordinate with other CDW departments (Marketing, PPM, and Operations) to better align efforts and targeted sales goal 
  • 10% assist with training efforts 

Education and/or Skill-Set Qualifications

  • Must have 2+ years technology hardware sales experience 
  • High School Diploma

Required Qualifications

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills 
  • Able to communicate technical concepts and business solutions 
  • Able to demonstrate proven track record of successful sales experience and quota attainment 
  • Motivated seller with strong problem solving skills 
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years technology sales experience 
  • Oracle sales certified or other OEM Industry Software Certifications 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration
