The Immigration Specialist will have the opportunity to leverage their immigration expertise to support CDW’s global talent mobility program.  

This person will assist with management of our current immigration and mobility process and performance, help to analyze market trends, make changes to offerings and third-party providers, maintain compliance with all legal requirements, and develop and maintain strong partnerships throughout the global HR team, Legal, and leaders throughout CDW.


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Initiate communication and coordination with attorneys on the full immigration case lifecycle, including initial review and analysis of visa petitions with outside counsel. 
  • Act as a point-of-contact for outside counsel, coworkers, and internal stakeholders for immigration matters. 
  • Coordinate the initiation of relocation, immigration, and coworker pre-move counselling sessions.
  • Assist in the coordination and management of domestic and international assignments.
  • Regularly meet with internal stakeholders to provide overview of upcoming visa processes, obtain outstanding documentation, facilitate the completion of immigration case submissions and answer questions. 
  • Ensure compliance with all immigration matters and maintain required Public Access documentation.
  • Post required LCA, PERM, and other required notices.
  • Work with Sr. Global Mobility & Immigration Specialist to provide immigration strategies and guidance to internal stakeholders and effectively communicate options and appropriate recommendations for CDW’s mobility program. 
  • Work closely with payroll and relocation management company to report imputed income on the coworker's W-2.
  • Coordinate US outbound business visas, prepare visa support letters, and track international travel
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements 

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3 + years of immigration and global mobility experience with in-house corporate program or relevant experience with an external immigration practice
  • 3 + years managing international assignments

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of employment-based US immigrant and non-immigrant visas
  • Strong knowledge of, and hands-on experience with, US permanent residence (PERM) process
  • Experience with non-US immigration is a plus
  • Hand-on experience preparing immigration cases at an immigration law practice
  • Excellent written communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work efficiently with a sense of urgency and possess strong consultative and project management skills, with a variety of position levels up to and including the most senior executives.
  • Highly organized with an ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
