Tell us a little bit about your career journey at CDW and the skills you tapped in making the transition from Integrated Tech to Communications?
My technical background provided the foundation for the creative skills I use today. Early in my career, I built expertise in SharePoint Branding, coding, and technical problem-solving, which required precision and innovation. Simultaneously, my work as a YouTube influencer (outside of work) taught me how to connect with audiences through engaging content and visuals. These two worlds intersected naturally, as I realized how technology and creativity together could drive impactful communication. Key moments, like leading virtual events and developing branding practices, solidified this fusion, enabling me to bring fresh perspectives to my professional pursuits.
What do you find most rewarding?
The opportunity to foster both personal and team growth. I value the ability to mentor others, learning from them as much as they learn from me. Watching a team evolve, take ownership, and contribute to the success of the organization is incredibly fulfilling. Leadership allows me to create an environment where collaboration thrives, and seeing the results of our collective efforts, especially when we overcome challenges and deliver impactful solutions, brings a deep sense of accomplishment.
What challenges do you enjoy tackling in your role?
I like challenges that push me outside my comfort zone and require innovative solutions. Whether it’s leveraging AI to solve business problems, collaborating with my team to create unique, impactful communications, or exploring creative approaches to video editing, I thrive on improving processes and enhancing efficiency. I also enjoy navigating the complexities of large-scale projects, such as executing virtual and live events, while balancing business goals to ensure we deliver outstanding results for our organization.
