CDW's 2022 Year in Review

December 29, 2022  |   Lifeatcdw

In 2022, we were presented with new challenges and opportunities. Even with the uncertainty, CDW remained relentless in our focus to our customers, communities, partners and coworkers. From our record sales to our social impact efforts, we continued to bring it every day to deliver strong results in 2022.

In no specific order, here are a few accomplishments that we are proud to celebrate this year.

Achieving Record Sales

In Q3 2022, CDW delivered all-time record sales, profits and margins. “We delivered record Net sales and profitability, once again demonstrating our ability to pivot to meet customers' evolving business needs. Outstanding third quarter results highlight the strength of our business model, expanding capabilities and the power of our broad product, services and solutions portfolio addressing priorities across diverse customer end markets," said Christine A. Leahy, president and chief executive officer, CDW.

Enabling our Customers

For the second year in a row, CDW was honored to be recognized by Frost & Sullivan for the Global Customer Value Leadership Award. CDW Amplified Services™ offers customers full-stack, end-to-end professional services and technology solutions, which help drive business outcomes. By accelerating innovation, containing costs, improving agility, minimizing risk, and enhancing customer experiences, CDW is a trusted advisor for enterprise and mid-size customers across sectors including healthcare, education, retail, and government.

This award reinforces our commitment to customers and our dedication to... delivering the exceptional customer outcomes that CDW has long been known for.

“We are thrilled with this recognition from Frost & Sullivan, a top research firm with expertise in digital transformation as well as many vertical industries,” said Tara Barbieri, vice president and general manager, Integrated Services Orchestration, CDW. “This award reinforces our commitment to customers and our dedication to addressing their complex business challenges, taking them from vision to value while delivering the exceptional customer outcomes that CDW has long been known for.”

Launching the CDW Legacy Excellence Program

In 2022, CDW launched our Legacy Excellence Program to support Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and HBCU student scholars. This support is being realized through investing in technology, providing leadership fellowships, scholarships, experiences, education and career opportunities. All of these factors help build a more diverse, inclusive and equitable workforce at CDW.

"CDW is excited to continue leveraging and elevating our partnerships to make an even bigger collective impact in the communities where we work and live,” said Aletha C. Noonan, senior vice president, product & partner management, CDW. "Through this program, we look forward to developing long-standing partnerships with HBCUs to help them ensure student success through technology and by creating a pathway for career and leadership opportunities for a diverse workforce.”

Continuing to Win

We continued to be recognized as a great place to work for our culture, diversity and business results. In 2022, we were recognized by Glassdoor – Best Places to Work, Forbes – World’s Top Female-Friendly Companies, Foundry’s Computerworld – Best Places to Work in IT, Disability:IN and AAPD – Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion, U.S. Veterans Magazine – Best of the Best Top Veteran-Friendly Companies, a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index and more.

We’re laser-focused on remaining a top destination for talent by fostering an environment where coworkers feel connected and supported, are able to focus on their work, and are empowered to grow their skills and careers.
– Carolyn Wiesenhahn, chief people officer, CDW

“At CDW, our success is all about the strength of our people,” said Carolyn Wiesenhahn, chief people officer, CDW. “We’re laser-focused on remaining a top destination for talent by fostering an environment where coworkers feel connected and supported, are able to focus on their work, and are empowered to grow their skills and careers.”

Empowering our Partners

After two years of virtual or hybrid execution, CDW’s Partner Summit returned to Las Vegas this year for our first in-person event with our top partners since November of 2019. During the event, the winners of the 2022 CDW Partner of the Year Awards were announced. The awards celebrated another year of successful collaboration and growth with CDW’s top-performing partners that provide exemplary support to CDW teams, ultimately enabling industry-leading outcomes for customers.

ReunITing and ReignITing our Coworkers

Since the start of the pandemic, we’ve been guided by our priorities of keeping coworkers healthy and safe, serving the mission-driven needs of our customers, and supporting our communities. This year we continued to test and learn new ways of working in a hybrid environment while offering coworkers flexibility in managing if and when they would like to work from a CDW office location. While we believe in the benefits of working digitally, there is power in being together, face-to-face. Many of our office locations across the globe hosted "ReunITe" events for coworkers to celebrate being together again and strengthen our connections.

Making an Impact

Community care and giving are core to our company culture and part of what makes CDW the company it is. As part of our global Social Impact program, we are committed to fostering partnerships with organizations that share our focus on digital equity and further our goal of empowering our communities to reach their unlimited potential.

CDW has a longstanding partnership with the American Red Cross and this year we have extended our commitment by joining the organization’s Disaster Responder Program. Disaster Responder members pledge financial and in-kind donations year-round in advance of disasters to ensure the Red Cross is ready to help those in need and prepare people and communities for unexpected crises.

This year, CDW celebrated Empower Month – a month dedicated to empowering coworkers globally in their giving, with opportunities to engage with their local communities on a deeper level. From creating activity kits for pediatric hospital patients to hosting food drives to planting trees and more, coworkers across all functions took part in this global initiative and together we empowered communities across the world.

Our purpose at CDW is to make technology work so that people can do great things. We are proud of all that we accomplished together in 2022 and look forward to our continued and collaborative success in 2023.
