Ten years ago, our initial company-wide internship program welcomed a group of bright, ambitious individuals ready to make their mark at CDW! Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate two of those original interns who’ve grown alongside the program—transforming from curious learners into impactful team members and leaders. Their journey is a testament to what’s possible when talent meets opportunity—proof that when we invest in people, they make amazing happen. And as we celebrate 10 years of our internship program, we’re just as excited about the future that awaits.

I have grown up at CDW both personally and professionally and look forward to the continued journey ahead!
What were the most valuable lessons you learned during your internship that still help you today?
Confidence is preparation, be yourself and remain curious as every engagement is an opportunity to learn and be better because of it.
Looking back at yourself as an intern, what would you tell your younger self?
Keep enjoying every moment and your positive attitude, hard work and coachability will continue to serve you.
How has CDW supported your career development?
I have had fantastic leaders and mentors at CDW. Each has supported and pushed me in my current role, all while ensuring they are regularly having career discussions with me. It is through these leaders that I have also developed my personal leadership style, as I had a front row seat to theirs.

What were the most valuable lessons you learned during your internship that still help you today?
Expanding your network is invaluable, both professionally and personally. During my internship at CDW, I met many individuals who have continued to support me throughout my career. These connections have been instrumental in preparing me for interviews and providing valuable input on special projects. This experience has inspired me to offer the same support to others.
Looking back at yourself as an intern, what would you tell your younger self?
It’s ok to fail, the quicker you run into obstacles the faster you can learn how to manage them in the future.
How has CDW supported your career development?
CDW has allowed my career to take many different directions from covering accounts across the country, to moving to San Francisco in 2020 to become a Professional Services seller and then moving back to Chicago in 2023 to pursue management and now get back to my roots in the Vertical Markets.
