Customer Chronicles: How Shannon Drives Customers Forward

We met with Shannon Jesequel (she/her), Google Customer Success Specialist with the CDW Amplified Education team, to learn how she helped an Education customer enhance security and digital communication with Google Workspace Plus. After identifying the customer’s goals, Shannon helped the customer lock in a multi-year agreement at a discounted rate.

Q: In simple terms, what was the customer’s IT challenge? 

A: The customer was looking to leverage the power of a paid edition of Google Workspace to provide enhanced security, stronger communication and advanced collaboration tools/features to maximize the district’s digital environment for the IT team, staff and students. 

Q:  What was the customer looking to achieve with CDW? 

A: The customer was looking for competitive pricing, but most importantly, they were looking for a company that was more than a reseller. They wanted to ensure that their team would have comprehensive ongoing support during onboarding, implementation and beyond. This is something that CDW Amplified Education is uniquely positioned to provide.  

Q: What was your role in helping them solve that challenge? 

A: My role was to work directly with Google to provide competitive pricing and to set up numerous demos, deep-dives and guided trials. Throughout the process, I was able to provide access to our onboarding training and implementation support, as well as our ongoing technical support and office hours. I was able to support the customer through the life cycle of each component of this deal, which provided a constant point of contact and further demonstrated the relationship between partner and district.  

Q: What was the customer’s reaction? 

A: The customer felt that the relationship and level of technical support were what differentiated us from competitors. Ultimately, they not only selected us as their partner but decided on a multi-year agreement for Google Workspace Plus. 

Q: What do you enjoy most about working with customers? 

A: Having been an educator for 10 years before making the transition to CDW Amplified Education, I have a unique connection with the customers that we support. Being able to support their needs while also relating to their challenges and hurdles allows me to lead with service and focus on adding value.
