Pride at CDW

June 3, 2021  |   Pride

Pride month gives us the opportunity to celebrate the many accomplishments and contributions the LGBTQ+ community has made throughout the world and within our organization. Pride month is also our reminder to be proud of who we are as individuals and authentic in the way that we show up each day. Below are a few highlights of how CDW and our coworkers support our LGBTQ+ community.

Business Resource Alliance Valuing Equality (BRAVE) Business Resource Group (BRG)

BRAVE’s mission is to assemble the building blocks for LGBTQ+ inclusion within CDW through networking and outreach with LGBTQ+ coworkers globally, connecting with our BRGs on topics of intersectionality, and educating CDW on issues that impact the LGBTQ+ community.

Celebrating Pride Month

For Pride, our BRAVE BRG is celebrating "The Colors of Progress" throughout the month with a series of virtual events and activities. We’ll also be highlighting the stories of a few of our BRAVE members on CDW Careers Twitter and Instagram. Check out last year’s member spotlights.

Adding pronouns to email signatures

In 2021, our BRAVE BRG worked with our internal teams to update our corporate email signature policy to allow for a reference to preferred pronouns.

Engagement with BRG Members

Over the past year, BRAVE has continued to keep its members engaged with content and virtual events including panel discussions, social events like Drag Queen Bingo, a quarterly newsletter and a Spotify playlist featuring positive, empowering music.

HRC Award

CDW is proud to be named a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality, earning a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation's 2021 Corporate Equality Index! The HRC’s Corporate Equality Index is the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies, practices, and benefits pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer employees and is a primary driving force for LGBTQ workplace inclusion.

We’re committed to cultivating an environment of equal belonging and inclusion where all coworkers can be their unique, authentic selves. Learn more about CDW’s Business Resource Groups.
